About our limited edition, first batch Spectacular Peanut Noodles:

PEANUT NOODLES! As in: satay sauce (aka: THE most delicious, creamy peanut sauce)... combined with plump, chewy udon noodles, as well as savoury golden nuggets of glazed tempeh, toasted peanuts and a whole rainbow of crunchy veggies. 

We’d been wanting to put that dish on the menu for a looong time.

But... operationally it was just too challenging to bring together AND a spectacular sauce AND perfectly chewy noodles AND vibrant vegetables. But guess what. we finally cracked the code! 🥁

After a great deal of tests and tweaks we are incredibly proud and excited to present our VERY LIMITED EDITION, FIRST TEST BATCH… PEANUT NOODLES!

Important information about this dish

Cooking instructions

Utensils:

  • 1 portion frozen udon noodles (packed separately)
  • Heat-resistant bowl (capacity >2L)
  • +/- 1.5L boiling water
  • Small saucer (or: something to cover the sauce pot with)
  • Spoon & fork
  • Colander

Method:

1. Remove the udon noodles from their packaging and place them in the bowl. Remove the lid from the peanut sauce cup and pour the layer of frozen vegetables into the bowl with the udon noodles. Pour +/- 1.5L of boiling water over this and let it stand for 5 minutes (set a timer).

2. In the meantime, cover the cup of frozen peanut sauce with, for example, a saucer (*) & heat it in the microwave (600W) as follows: 90 sec - stir & re-cover - 90 sec - stir & re-cover - 60 sec - stir.

3. When the 5 minutes are up: carefully loosen the noodles with a fork, drain the noodles + vegetables through the colander & put them back in the bowl. Add the thawed peanut sauce and stir well. Serve (possibly with some of your own toppings) and enjoy!

(*) Do not use the supplied lid for this: it would melt with the cup in the microwave!

Pimping tips

Got some fresh herbs/veggies hiding out in the fridge? Don't hesitate: chop 'em up while your peanut noodles are defrosting and elevate your meal to an even higher level!

We love to add one or more of these toppings:

  • Fresh herbs like coriander, basil or mint
  • A wedge of lime
  • Finely sliced fresh/pickled crunchy veggies like cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, red cabbage... Whatever you have lying around!
  • A sprinkle of finely sliced spring onion
  • If you like it hot: a swig of your favourite chili sauce
  • Crispy fried onions
