Our deluxe vegan toastie is a decadent, sexy piece of pleasure consisting of a rich cheeze sauce (which forms that recognizable, deliciously cheesy crust in the pan) and an onion chutney flavour-explosion – all wrapped together between slices of richly buttered, white toast. Perfect for a quick lunch with a fresh salad.

We assure you: our Croque Mon Dieu, c'est pas mal, quoi.

Cooking instructions
  1. Toast the required number of toasties (directly from frozen) in a (non-stick) pan (possibly with a little extra oil), or in an electric grill (toastie machine): medium temperature, for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Press the toasties down and flip them over regularly. Check that the toast doesn’t darken too quickly (if so: reduce the temperature). Your toastie is ready when the bread is golden brown and the sauce inside is piping hot.
  3. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

  • For a casual, indulgent apéro snack: make sure to rest your Croques 5-10min after cooking so they firm up, and then carefully cut them into two or four triangle-shaped pieces.

    Serve with mini gherkins on the side, if you like. (If you want to be extra fancy: use a toothpick to skewer the gherkins neatly onto the toasties.)
